BBQ Chicken Pizza
I fell in love with BBQ Chicken Pizza at California Pizza Kitchen, way before I was gluten free. I’ve been happy to discover that they actually have a really good gluten free pizza crust! So, when we eat pizza out, CPK is one of our go-to’s. But I have to say, that I do a pretty good job of creating an amazing BBQ Chicken Pizza at home! Making pizza is like an art to me, and this is definitely one of my masterpieces.
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Serves: 4
Serving Size: 2-3 slices
-
Crust: Typically the Caulipower pizza crust, because it just tastes so amazing with the BBQ!
Sauce: I’m currently using Kinder’s BBQ sauce, because it’s sold at Costco and because it does not have any high fructose corn syrup.
Toppings:
Mozzerella cheese
Cooked chicken breast, cut into small pieces or I often use shredded chicken breast
sliced red onion
banana peppers
crumbled cooked bacon
sliced or chopped red bell pepper
cheddar cheese
-
Preheat your oven to 400°F.
Place the pizza crust of choice on a baking sheet.
Spread the BBQ sauce on top.
Sprinkle mozzerella cheese over the sauce.
Then top with the toppings trying to evenly distribute them. Be sure to reach the edges!
Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.
Optional: drizzle more BBQ sauce on top.
Bake for 15-20 minutes.
Slice into 6-8 slices.
I like to add grated parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes on top. Sometimes hot honey and sometimes Primal Kitchen ranch dressing.

It all depends on your pizza crust and how much of each ingredient you are using.
If you try this recipe, I’d love to hear how it turned out!
